This webinar video describes and provides an understanding of unresolved grief which is described diagnostically in individuals as complicated or prolonged grief. It also addresses how this may manifest in a couple following a miscarriage, stillbirth, or perinatal loss.

This webinar video examines:

• normal grief from complicated or prolonged grief 
• the manifestations of complicated or prolonged grief 
• how to identify couples who may be at risk or who are manifesting features of unresolved grief. 
• factors that underpin a propensity to develop complicated or prolonged grief 
• the components of a short-term intervention to address unresolved grief.

Timothy Keogh PhD is a psychoanalyst, clinical and forensic psychologist and couple psychotherapist who was the former Executive Director of a variety of state-wide programs in the public sector, notably in the forensic mental health and drug and alcohol areas. He is the current President of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society and Co-Chair for the Asia-Pacific of the Couple and Family Committee of the International Psychoanalytical Association and the current President of Penthos.

Cynthia Gregory-Roberts is a clinical social worker and individual, couple and family psychotherapist in private practice in Sydney. She is a member of the International Association of Couple and Family Psychoanalysis and the Child, Couple and Family Psychotherapy Association of Australasia and Vice-President of Penthos.

Cynthia with Timothy have co-edited the book 'Psychoanalytic Approaches to Loss: Mourning, Melancholia and Couples'.
