Join qualified Parenting Coordinators in online Group Supervision, a process which supports practitioners to provide a better, more confident and creative service to clients.

This specialised online Group Supervision will be held every three with a maximin group number of eight participants. This Supervision is designed for qualified Parenting Coordinators who seek to reflect on their professional interactions with clients and learn from colleagues’ experiences with the aim to extend knowledge and skills in the area of Parenting Coordination.

 

These drop-in sessions are designed to support both urgent matters and ongoing issues Parenting Coordinators may be experiencing in their work, participants may choose to attend one or the whole series, whatever will benefit their work.

 

Group Supervision is also highly beneficial for professionals who work in related family and child-focused fields but do not meet the eligibility criteria outlined below to practise as parenting coordinators.  If you are not a qualified Parenting Coordination but would like to join Group Supervision, please contact us for more information at ravtraining@rav.org.au

 

Learning outcomes

During this specialised Parenting Coordination Supervision , you'll gain:

  • the opportunity to discuss the client engagement process
  • screening process for working with each family (parenting coordinators must certify that they have screened both parents separately for power imbalances and family violence before they conduct any arbitrations)
  • the opportunity to being a case study from your work to workshop with the supervisor and the group

  • a reflective space and emotional support
  •  assistance with professional development
  • guidance on delivering services to clients in a safe and ethical manner
  •  Case study exploration and discussion
  • information about compliance with professional and organisational treatment standards and ethics and legal issues in practice.

Ideal for

Graduates from the Relationships Australia Victoria/Pacifica Congress course or are registered on the Pacifica Congress database as a Parenting Coordinator.

 

About the Supervisor

Lilia Szarski 

Child and Family Psychologist M.Ed(Psychology), MAPS, FDR Practitioner, PC. 

Clinical Educator and Supervisor, Relationships Australia Victoria 

Lilia Szarski was a family report writer in the Family Court for nearly 30 years. She provided clinical supervision to a team of professionally trained mediators and psychologists, and was responsible for quality assurance of services and team performance. As a psychologist with expertise in family and child dispute resolution, court-ordered counselling, and child-inclusive practice, Lilia has appeared as an expert witness in many family law cases. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, International Association of Family and Youth Courts, International Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the International Association of Applied Psychologists. 

 

Registration information 

  • When you register, you'll be taken to our payment gateway to complete your registration. A new account will be automatically created for you in our Learning Management System (Moodle). 
  • Registrations for scheduled workshops close 48 hours before the event. 
  • Workshops must be paid for at least 2 business days before the training date, or your registration will be cancelled.  
  • If paying by invoice, proof of payment needs to be provided at least 24 hours ahead of the event.
